Teach Yourself Visually Beadwork: Learning Off-Loom Beading Techniques One Stitch at a Time

This book covers the most popular bead weaving techniques in much greater detail than my first book. The first nine chapters are devoted to individual skills and stitches, from how to get started with needle and thread to making increases and decreases in beaded fabric. The last two chapters contain example beginner and intermediate projects.

With this book, I wanted to take advantage of the Teach Yourself Visually photo- and diagram-intensive format to give beaders the tools they need to confidently complete projects in beading books and magazines--and to eventually venture into the world of beadwork design themselves.

How Each Chapter is Organized

Each of the chapters on stitches begins by examining the layout of beads in that particular form of beadwork. Next, the simplest version of the stitch is explored, followed by the tubular and circular versions. The final pages of each chapter demonstrate how to follow patterns that utilize the stitch.
